Also Jane, I haven't had a chance to locate my pattern books, we've been remodeling and nothing is where it should be. I did fire up my serger for a few things. Trying to dig my Bernina out but in the meantime I've gotten my featherweight out.
I really miss my sewing studio. Right now it is filled with āstuffā.
absolutely no rush at all! funny how sewing rooms always fill up with āstuff.ā mine looked like santaās workshop for a bit, so itās unusually clear. so nice that youāve gotten your featherweight out, even if your studio isnāt quite sorted yet.
Love your flower! I've been wandering around substack still trying to figure out how it all works. Jane, do you have any tips? There is so much I feel I can't keep up, let alone start something of my own. lolā¦
it can feel overwhelming. whatās helped me most is sharing what iām interested in and what inspires me, or what i'm already working on for my family. i also keep a running list of ideas (i write everything down).
my biggest tipā¦and what works for me.. is consistency. i keep a two-week schedule, which gives me a deadline and structure, and that makes all the difference for me.
I love the simplicity and elegance of your classic bow and ribbon flower! The beauty of these creations unfolds before us as we watch your hands work to create time honored symbols.
There is so much potential here. Thank you for the holiday cheer.
itās a great one! worth the hunt āŗļø i also really enjoy Tailoring (simplifies technique nicely) and More Creative Sewing Ideas (has some real gems) from the Singer Sewing Reference Library series. ā¤ļø
I didn't mean to not contact you for awhile, I got lost here. I want to stay in contact with you, we have so much in common.
no worries at all, i completely understand! iām so happy we connected on here, and iād love to stay in touch too. š
