Excellent work! Love that pillow. Were the pintucks about 1/4 inch finished width? Sometimes, working through a writer’s block or creative block ends in the best way.

Thank you so much! The pintucks are about 1/8 inch finished—I think the velvet’s pile makes them look a bit wider than they are.

Wow, this is beautiful. And in velvet!... I've been sewing for decades on and off and have two lengths of viscose/silk velvet lurking that I keep pussyfooting around. I sees a couple of things in cotton velvet and the creep is scary. I'm so impressed 👏

thank you! oh gosh, yes… silk/viscose velvet is so tricky to work with. this one felt more like a velveteen, so it was a bit more forgiving and easier to sew. i’m so happy you’re here! 💗

Your gingko cushion is a thing of beauty Jane. Currently struggling with pleats here, pintucks beyond my current capabilities, not to mention clumsy fingers ;)

Thank you so much, that means a lot to me! Pleats can definitely be tricky, (and pintucks can take a bit of practice) but you’re doing great just by giving pleats a go. You've got this!
